DDB China Group has recently developed an online interactive game for Volkswagen’s Tiguan – ‘Tiguan, live the journey beyond.’ As part of an integrated campaign linked to the TVC program ‘Tiguan Tour’, this digital practice aims to increase customer interaction and to enable them to experience the advanced functions of the new Tiguan 2012 Edition.
Participants check-in to physical locations through their SNS accounts (Weibo, Renren, Jiepang) to join the game. In the game, the real miles they have traveled will contribute to the symbolic journey to a new city in China, moving their virtual customizable Tiguan forward. Along the way, participants will have many chances to win actual prizes through collecting miles as well as completing varies small tasks testing their knowledge of the car’s remarkable new features.
The online game lasts from Aug.14 to Sept.30. Its a bit over halfway-done, but the campaign has already generated impressive results: 3.6 minutes of average page-viewing time and as low as 13.21% bounce rate for one of the games. (Source: DDB China Group)
