Chinese marketing firm – Shunya Communications Group (宣亚) decided to do something a little different to encourage students to apply for a job at the company.
The recruitment campaign is titled ‘Yes, We Can 2011’ – a surprisingly disappointing and unoriginal title from an organisation that claims to be ‘one of the most influential and competitive integrated communications service firms in China‘.
Nonetheless the idea behind the campaign is actually quite good. Instead of using traditional methods of placing leaflets and posters around the campus, Shunya instead put a young girl in a cuddly light bulb outfit and let her run free around the campus, amusing students wherever she went.
Using this interesting method will no doubt make Shunya seem less intimidating to the students, as well as subtly demonstrating how Shunya excels in communications. So perhaps using this fun and alternative way of reaching out to the students will help Shunya attract some of the best at the university.
